The BMW iX1 is a battery-electric version of the fan-favourite X1 SUV, sitting as the most affordable member of the company’s all-electric lineup. The iX1 competes in one of the most hotly-contested segments of the market, aiming to win over buyers with its sharp styling, energy-efficient electric motors and a lovely interior that over-delivers on both practicality and style.

Overview
While BMW’s recipe for the iX1 is relatively simple, it’s hard to understate just how important of a vehicle it is for the company. The iX1 is the cheapest BMW you can get with a battery pack, aimed at getting fans of the brand and new buyers alike to make the switch to an electric SUV with a BMW badge on the front. The iX1 range is split into three variants, all of which come powered by a 67kWh battery pack that offers between 400 - 464km of range. BMW’s most affordable member of the iX1 bunch, the xDrive20. Step inside and BMW’s wonderful interior design is given a contemporary edge to showcase all the new tech lurking beneath, while the X1’s platform provides a very healthy amount of second-row accommodation and 490L of boot space that makes it an extremely versatile little SUV package.
