The BMW 8 Series is the company’s flagship luxury performance coupe that offers outlandish speed, sporty handling, aggressive styling and an opulent interior design that makes it one of the finest horses in the BMW stables. Overview
BMW first introduced the 8 Series back in the 90s, with the sports coupe’s long, swooping bonnet hiding a monstrous V12 engine underneath. After a noticeable absence from the Australian market, the BMW 8 Series made its return with a range of V8 powertrains which have now become a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder unit that kicks out 250kW of power and 500Nm of torque to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic. Inside, the 8 Series cabin looks great and comes packed with luxurious materials and a lengthy equipment list to meet the needs of its luxury, executive clientele.
