With more than 110 years of history under its belt, Alfa Romeo is one of Italy’s oldest manufacturers, and has in recent times become a subsidiary of the Stellantis after Fiat-Chrysler merged with the PSA Group in 2019.

The latest Alfa Romeo product lineup offers buyers the choice of a premium sedan, in the form of the Giulia, the Stelvia SUV and the company’s all-new hybrid SUV, the Tonale, as well as two high-performance variants of the Stelvio and the Giulia, known as the Quadrifoglio.

Alfa Romeo’s Quadrifoglio division can be thought of as it’s answer to the AMG and M Sport arm of Mercedes or BMW, taking the standard car and adding a more powerful Ferrari-sourced engine, as well as sports car hardware that make them faster and more agile on the road.

Alfa Romeo FAQs

Alfa Romeo produces its vehicles under the wider Stellantis group, after its parent company Fiat-Chrysler merged with France’s PSA Group.

Alfa Romeo makes its Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV at its San Germano factory in Italy, while the Tonale SUV is manufactured at the Stellantis factory in Pomigliano d’Arco, Italy, all of which are exported from Italy to Alfa Romeo dealerships around the globe.

While Alfa Romeo faced tough financial times throughout the 80s and 90s, the company has rebounded in recent times and currently offers a strong product lineup for those in the market for a premium SUV or sedan package.

The Stelvio has proved popular within the premium SUV segment, while the Giulia offers a very premium and sophisticated sedan package that is very much worth your attention.

For those in need of more speed, Alfa’s high-powered Quadrifoglio variants of the Giulia and the Stelvio are absolutely worth buying, considering they come powered by a Ferrari-sourced 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged six-cyclinder engine and gain a heap of performance hardware that make them extremely agile and entertaining to drive.

Alfa Romeo has long been considered a luxury car manufacturer that offers a healthy blend of well-appointed interior designs, powerful engines and premium features that match its rivals in the luxury car segment.

Models like the Giulia and Stelvio gain premium features like leather upholstery, heated and leather-wrapped steering wheels, adaptive suspension, heated seats, panoramic sunroofs and carbon fibre interior highlights that place them very much on par with their luxury rivals like BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz.

If you’re in the market for a comfortable sedan package that benefits from some impressive pace, the Alfa Romeo Giulia can be considered one of the nicest options in the range, which benefits from the added option of a high-powered flagship.

If, however, you’re looking for a larger and more practical SUV package, the Stelvio and all-new Tonale Hybrid SUV are two particularly nice options for SUV buyers that demand a family-friendly package with the added bonus of Alfa Romeo’s attractive designs, premium appointments and features.

For buyers in the market for a fast sedan or SUV package, Alfa Romeo’s Quadrifolgio variants of the Giulia and Stelvio are without doubt the best options in the range.
