MG’s Cyberster represents a pretty profound departure from the company’s more sensible passenger vehicles to date. It’s a ludicrously powerful, low-slung, two-door sports convertible with scissor doors and sharp styling that makes a loud first impression that, for the money, provides acceleration speeds that are difficult to match. The Cyberster comes powered by a pair of electric motors that push out a combined 375kW of power and 725Nm of torque that offer all-wheel drive traction and a barely believable 0-100km/h run in 3.2 seconds onto a limited top speed of 208km/h. Power for the electric motors comes supplied by a 77kWh lithium-ion battery pack offering up to 443km of range and DC fast-charging at speeds up to 144kW, while the sleek interior design showcases MG’s latest bold aesthetic aspirations in the driver-focussed cabin.
