Finally, for those looking to make million-dollar supercars blush, the EV6 GT receives more powerful motors at the front and rear, pushing out a combined 430kW of power and 740Nm of torque that allows it to hit 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
Behind the wheel, the EV6 proves itself a silky smooth and relaxing commuter.
It ticks a number of important boxes on the daily driving experience, with its lightweight and accurate steering making for a great option for town driving and open roads alike.
The performance-focussed EV6 GT is less user-friendly around town, namely due to the heavier steering and significantly wider turning circle that makes it a bit more of a handful, but it offers a level of performance that is barely believable for the price.

In terms of the more sensible EV6 and GT-Line variants, they both offer a nice and smooth driving dynamic and excellent handling.
They also receive a regenerative braking system that can be dialed up with one-pedal driving that’s perfect for the urban jungle and the EV6 feels agile and confident in and around town.
The ride is a little firm on rougher surfaces, though their lively steering and confidence-inspiring AWD system in the case of more expensive variants make them a dream to tackle a series of curves in.

The EV6 GT-Line RWD is rated at 504km of range, while the EV6 GT-Line AWD can drive up to 484km on a single charge.

Is the Kia EV6 Practical and Spacious?
The Kia EV6 is packaged with a lovely interior that maximises every ounce of practicality from its bespoke EV platform, proving itself a very family-friendly option.
Step inside and you’re greeted with a relatively low-slung driving position which adds a nice amount of headroom up front.
It’s hard to ignore the two 12.3-inch displays atop the dashboard which makes things feel contemporary and, perhaps more importantly, nice and clean.
Kia’s climate inputs and media controls are found on the same clever dial which shuffles between the two, allowing quick inputs without over-crowding the dashboard with buttons.
Aside from the tech, the headline act for buyers in the front of the EV6 cabin will no doubt be the floating centre console design that not only looks great but effectively doubles your storage space.
There’s a rubberised charging pad and cup holders sitting alongside the rotary gear dial and handbrake, while another console hiding beneath offers a large raised tray to keep handbags and large water bottles under control.
Move to the rear and the EV6 does not disappoint when it comes to second-row accommodation.
There’s acres of legroom thanks to the EV6’s clever interior design and bespoke EV platform, which means it has no trouble accommodating long legs without any knees banging against the seatback.
Models fitted with the panoramic sunroof sacrifice a little in the way of headroom, though overall things are comfortable for adults seated in the rear, meaning you won’t hear any complaints from kids in the back.
