The cheapest Ferrari currently on sale in Australia is the Ferrari Roma which is priced at $409,888 before on-road costs, followed closely by the open-top Ferrari Portofino M, which is priced at $438,500. Both the Roma and the Portofino M come powered by the same 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 456kW of power and 760Nm of torque.

Currently, the most expensive Ferrari on sale in Australia is priced well below $3 million dollars, with the SF90 Coupe and Spider priced at $846,888 and $957,700 respectively.

Some of Ferrari’s vehicles from the past, however, have become highly-desirable collectors’ items that have price tags that can exceed $3 million dollars here in Australia, with prices for cars like the Ferrari F40, F50, Ferrari Enzo and the La Ferrari stretching into the multi-million dollar mark.

For reference, the most expensive Ferrari ever sold was a 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO which was sold in 2022 to a private buyer for USD $70 million.

There are a number of things that make Ferrari’s vehicles incredibly special, namely their powerful and high-revving engines, lightweight construction, F1-inspired suspension and brakes, as well as their attractive and luxurious interior designs.

Ferrari creates both front and mid-engined vehicles, with a mix of turbocharged V6 hybrids, naturally-aspirated V8s and even V12 engines on offer in their vehicles, and ride on a monocoque chassis that helps to reduce their weight.

Ferrari’s vehicles also come packaged with extremely clever dynamic control systems for fast driving, race-inspired suspension and brakes and a sports exhaust system that makes for a great acoustic soundtrack.

Inside, Ferrari’s vehicles are hand crafted with some of the world’s most luxurious textiles like high-quality leather and lightweight carbon fibre, and in recent years, have become extremely high-tech with large infotainment displays.

Yes, it’s true that Ferrari is not keen to let vehicle owners modify their vehicle, which can otherwise void the manufacturers’ warranty.

Ferrari prefers that its owners keep the vehicle maintained and serviced within its network, and requires any replacements to come in the form of Ferrari-sourced OEM components to keep the warranty valid.

Any work, maintanence or modifications done by a third party can void the warranty and, in some of the most extreme cases, leave you ineligible to purchase another Ferrari if they deem you are disrespecting the brand with your modifications.

Ferrari’s vehicles are different from other cars, even other supercars, thanks to the brand’s iconic reputation as the world’s most successful Formula 1 racing team, and its rise to popularity as a global luxury brand that has helped it become arguably the world’s most famous car brand.

When compared directly with other supercar rivals, Ferrari’s vehicles are often lighter and more technologically-advanced, and creates powerful engines that are able to rev to their red-line far quicker than other comparative engines.

There are few cars more iconic than a red Ferrari, and the company knows this, as it cements its spot atop rivals like Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren, Porsche, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
